Terms of Use
Using the website
The website gives general information on removing water from buildings and drying them out, and it shows a phone number for water damage calls. By using it, a visitor agrees to these terms.
Information, not advice
Explanations of the mitigation steps, water categories and drying classes are general. They do not describe any one building, and they are not legal, insurance or professional advice.
Contracts with restoration companies
A service contract is made between the property owner and the restoration company the owner picks. Before signing, the owner should confirm the scope of work, the price, the payment terms and who covers extra work.
Response times
The phone number works around the clock. How fast a company can get to a property, and whether it can take a given job, depends on location, weather, demand and access.
Cost figures
Prices shown are typical national ranges for planning. The restoration company sets the real price, and work outside water mitigation, such as pipe repair or rebuilding, is priced on its own.
Insurance matters
A claim is decided by the insurer under the policy. Records from a restoration company describe work done and readings taken. They do not decide what a policy pays.
Safety first
Standing water can hide live current, and a ceiling holding water can fall. Anyone in danger should call 911 and leave, not wait on information from the website.
Liability and changes
To the extent the law allows, Water Mitigation Response Team is not responsible for losses that come from relying on the website or from an independent company's work. Updated terms apply once posted. Rights that the law gives consumers stay in place.
